How to lease an Upway bike
Step 1: Head to the Upway website
This link will take you straight to the page you need.
Step 2: Find a bicycle and request a quote
Filters enable you to quickly find the bicycles that meet your needs. Each bicycle is posted with photographs showing its condition, a list of functions and features, and a sheet detailing the tests it has undergone, and any maintenance carried out.
Found a bicycle you like? Add it to your basket and follow the on-screen steps. However, make sure that you pay attention to the following points if you want your quote to be approved:
- You don't need additional protection against damage and theft, as this is automatically included in the leasing option that o2o Bicycle Leasing offers.
- Ensure that your quote also includes a certified lock .
- Need accessories such as panniers or a helmet? Add them to your basket to ensure they're included in the quote.
Step 3: Head to your o2o account
Create a myo2o Biker account or log in to carry out the next steps. If you already have access to the o2o platform as part of your cafeteria plan, then you won't need to create an account.
After you've ordered your bike on the Upway site, Upway will upload your offer on your o2o-account. You will receive an e-mail once the offer is available in your o2o-account. Most fields will have been filled in automatically. Make sure to check the following points:
- You must enter the leasing period as three years, as it is not possible to lease a second-hand bicycle for four years.
- Enter Upway as the bicycle dealer.
- Don't add any extra warranty as this service is not offered for second-hand bicycles.
What does leasing a second-hand bicycle entail?
Of course, this type of leasing means you'll be able to lease a second-hand bicycle. But what exactly does the o2o Bicycle Leasing option involve? The o2o second-hand lease bicycles always fulfil the following conditions:
- The bicycle has already been used but is no more than two years old OR the bicycle has not been used
- The offer only includes bicycles that have their original sales invoice
- The battery capacity is at least 80%
In addition to the lease bicycle, the leasing option includes several other elements. For example, you can create a tailored leasing option:
- A 12-month warranty
- A maintenance budget of your choice
- Accessories
- Damage and theft protection
- Optional: breakdown assistance
It is only possible to lease a second-hand bicycle for a period of three years. If you are looking for a four-year leasing contract, then second-hand bicycle leasing isn't the right option for you.
