Leasing a second-hand bicycle via E-Bis? Here's how it's done
Leasing a second-hand bicycle? That's no problem with o2o Bicycle Leasing via E-Bis and Upway. Find out here how easy it is to order a second-hand bicycle from E-Bis and what level of quality you can expect.
Ordering a lease bicycle via E-bis in three steps
Step 1: Find your bicycle
Go to the E-Bis website and see what bicycles are available or visit the shop in Mechelen. Still unsure which bicycle you want? If so, quickly check the types of bicycles that are around and their benefits and disadvantages or use the E-bis bike finder.

Step 2: Request a quote
Found the bicycle you want? Ask them to draw up a quote for you in the shop. Don't forget to add some accessories, such as a lock (compulsory), a pannier and/or a GPS.
Not sure what type of lock you need? You can read more about it in our article about securing your bike.
Ordering online? If so, click on the ‘Vraag je leaseofferte aan’ (Request your lease quote’ button and fill in the form. You can also include accessories when ordering online. How to do that is explained below.

How do I add accessories when ordering online?
While applying for your lease, you will see a field where you can add ‘Extra info’. You can use that to note down which accessories you want. Good news: you can lease accessories from any brand at all (cool, right?).
All you need to do is enter some general information, for example: bicycle helmet black M. Already got your eye on a specific accessory? In that case, enter the exact product name, for example: Specialized Align II MIPS Race Cycle Helmet Black/Black Reflective M.

Step 3: Go to your o2o account
Did you order your bicycle at the shop? In that case, E-bis will already have uploaded your quote to your o2o account.
Did you request your quote online? If so, it's now time to upload it via your o2o account. We've provided a few pointers for you below.
Don’t have an account just yet? Creating one is both quick and easy. If you access the o2o platform via your cafeteria plan, you don't need to create an account.
Pay attention to these points when uploading your quote:
- Select E-Bis as the bicycle dealer.
- Don't add any additional warranty, because that service isn't possible when leasing a second-hand bicycle.
- Specify a lease period of three years. Leasing a second-hand bicycle for four years is not possible, unfortunately.
What is the quality of E-Bis lease bicycles?
When leasing a second-hand bicycle, you want to be certain that it's of good quality, don't you? With E-Bis, you can be sure that the lease bicycle you receive will be of high quality. After all:
- It comes with a 12-month warranty.

A bit more information about E-Bis
At E-Bis you will find high-quality bicycles from well-known manufacturers. Not new bicycles, but second-hand ones that have been carefully inspected, renovated and set up by E-Bis. That way, E-Bis gives second-hand bicycles a second life that's just as good as the first.
Leasing a second-hand bicycle is not only good for our planet, but it also benefits the social economy, as E-Bis also provides opportunities to people who'd otherwise have difficulty finding a job for personal or social reasons. The company places considerable emphasis on socially responsible employment: the bicycles are overhauled and set up by the heroes and heroines at Fietsatelier, a supported workshop in Mechelen.
