Leasing a second-hand bicycle via Decathlon: here's how it works

Prefer to lease a second-hand bicycle? Great news: with o2o Bicycle Leasing, you can do so via Decathlon, E-bis and Upway. Below we explain how leasing through Decathlon Refurbished bike leasing works, how to order a lease bicycle and what to expect.

Step 1: Create an o2o account

Does your employer offer bicycle leasing through o2o? Then you can create an o2o account.

Step 2: Choose your lease bicycle on the Decathlon website

On Decathlon's refurbished page (only available in Dutch and French), you'll find the full range of second-hand bicycles you can lease.

1. Scroll down and choose a lease bicycle.
2. Found a bicycle? Copy the URL of that particular bicycle page.

Step 3: Request a quote

You can request a quote via this page.

1. Click start.
2. Answer 'Yes' to the question "Do you know the leasing partner your company works with?"
3. Select o2o Bicycle Leasing.
4. Paste the URL of that particular bicycle page.
5. Choose a lock. This is mandatory.
6. Choose any accessories (optional).
7. Fill in your details and all done!

Step 4: Relax, now it's our turn

The quote for your second-hand bicycle from Decathlon has been submitted. Decathlon will upload it to your o2o account. Once that has been done, o2o will send you an email.

In your o2o account, you can easily check the status of your request.

Step 5: Quote approved? Decathlon will deliver your bicycle

You will receive an email from o2o Bicycle Leasing when your quote has been approved. Relax: you don't have to go to a Decathlon store to pick up your lease bicycle. Decathlon will bring the bicycle to you.

What can you expect from Decathlon's second-hand bicycles?

A second-hand bicycle has been used, of course. But no worries: the leasing package and the bicycle are perfectly fine.

Your lease package

• Your lease period is three years.
• Home delivery is included.
• It comes with a 12-month warranty.
• Protection in the event of damage and theft is included.

Your bicycle's condition

• For each bicycle, it will be indicated how many months it has been used.
• Each lease bicycle will be checked by technicians against a 30+ point checklist.
• The battery capacity is at least 80% and the battery/motor has been accurately tested.
• Does your bicycle need maintenance? Just bring it to a Decathlon store with a bicycle workshop. You determine your annual maintenance budget.
• The bicycle has an original purchase invoice. That way you can be sure that the bicycle was leased before, which means it has received thorough maintenance every year.
