DSV is a logistics company. Today, the Belgian subsidiary employs some 215 people. In 2018, when DSV Belgium picked up the idea to get as much employees as possible on their bikes, they decided o2o to be their true partner. They started up the pilot project ‘Commute by bike’ through which they promoted together the advantages of a company bike amongst the DSV employees.

‘Commute By Bike’ not only focuses on the fiscal advantages, but also highlights the practical advantages of bicycle leasing via the company. Just to name a few; bicycle maintenance, road assistance and theft insurance. Another important benefit brought forward is the freedom of choosing your own bike. Obviously, enjoying riding by bike is riding with a bike that fits you best.

Via o2o, employees at DSV Belgium can choose a bike from any bicycle shop they want. The choice is extremely vast and preferences largely depend on the employee’s profile: from racing bike to cargo bike. Once the choice is made, the employee is informed via a simulation about the monthly rent over a period of 36 months. After his approval, the bicycle is ordered and delivered at his doorstep.

No less than 26 employees participated in the pilot project. Meanwhile the pilot phase has come to an end and the bicycle leasing project is being rolled out over all Belgian locations.
